Boyle County Varsity Rebels took home a 6-1 victory over Pulaski County Maroons Baseball Varsity on Saturday.
Boyle County Varsity Rebels opened up scoring in the first inning, when Cole Sims singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
Sims was credited with the victory for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. The righthander surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.
Mason Acton took the loss for Pulaski County Maroons Baseball Varsity. The pitcher surrendered four runs on four hits over four innings, striking out two.
Boyle County Varsity Rebels smacked two home runs on the day. Luke Gaffney went for the long ball in the sixth inning. Kason Myers had a four bagger in the second inning.
Sims went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Boyle County Varsity Rebels in hits.
Pulaski County Maroons Baseball Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brady Cain had the most chances in the field with six.
