Boyle County Varsity Rebels wins contest against Rockcastle County Varsity Rockets on Monday,  9-4

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels opened up scoring in the second inning.  Boyle County Varsity Rebels scored three runs when Sage Dawson homered.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels tallied three runs in the third inning.  Boyle County Varsity Rebels's big bats in the inning were led by a single by Blake Russell and an error on a ball put in play by Bryan Moore.

 

Eli Glasscock got the win for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. Glasscock went five and a third innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out seven.  Brayson Claunch and Russell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

 

Silas Shaffer took the loss for Rockcastle County Varsity Rockets. The pitcher went six innings, allowing nine runs on ten hits, striking out nine and walking zero.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels hit one home run on the day. Dawson had a dinger in the second inning.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels tallied 11 hits on the day.  Glasscock, Dawson, Cole Sims, Kason Myers, and Russell each had multiple hits for Boyle County Varsity Rebels.  Glasscock went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Boyle County Varsity Rebels in hits.  Boyle County Varsity Rebels was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Luke Gaffney made the most plays with  nine.

 

Rockcastle County Varsity Rockets scattered nine hits in the game.  Shaffer, Dalton Gibbs, and Noah Fain each managed multiple hits for Rockcastle County Varsity Rockets.
