Boyle County Varsity Rebels stole the lead late in the game in an 8-5 victory over Woodford County Varsity Yellowjackets on Friday.  The game was tied at five with Boyle County Varsity Rebels batting in the bottom of the sixth when Luke Gaffney singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Boyle County Varsity Rebels was boosted by Eli Glasscock who went 4-for-4 at the plate.  Glasscock singled in the third, homered in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.

In the top of the fifth inning, Woodford County Varsity Yellowjackets tied things up at five.  An error scored two runs for Woodford County Varsity Yellowjackets.

Brayden West earned the win for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. The righty lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one.  Logan Marsee threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Marsee recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Boyle County Varsity Rebels.

Landon Corum took the loss for Woodford County Varsity Yellowjackets. Corum allowed eight hits and five runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Cole Sims started the game for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. Sims lasted four and a third innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out five

Boyle County Varsity Rebels smacked one home run on the day. Glasscock had a dinger in the fourth inning.

Boyle County Varsity Rebels scattered 14 hits in the game.  Glasscock, Blake Russell, Kason Myers, and Keenan Stewart all collected multiple hits for Boyle County Varsity Rebels.  Russell and Glasscock each managed four hits to lead Boyle County Varsity Rebels.

Bryce Patterson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Woodford County Varsity Yellowjackets in hits.  Nolan Asher led Woodford County Varsity Yellowjackets with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with four stolen bases.
