Rebels Beat Golden Lions Behind Glasscock's No-Hitter

Eli Glasscock was brilliant on the mound on Wednesday, as Glasscock threw a no-hitter to lead Boyle County Varsity Rebels past Garrard County Varsity Golden Lions 13-1.

 

Sage Dawson led Boyle County Varsity Rebels to victory by driving in five runs.  Dawson went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Dawson drove in runs on a single in the fourth and a grand slam in the fifth.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels got things moving in the first inning.  Blake Russell homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels notched five runs in the fifth inning.  Boyle County Varsity Rebels big bats were led by Glasscock and Dawson, all driving in runs in the frame.

 

Glasscock took the win for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. The pitcher went five innings, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out nine.

 

Caden Neff took the loss for Garrard County Varsity Golden Lions. The hurler allowed eight hits and six runs over three and a third innings, striking out two.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels launched two home runs on the day. Russell put one out in the first inning. Dawson had a dinger in the fifth inning.

 

Boyle County Varsity Rebels had 13 hits in the game.  Russell, Dawson, and Luke Gaffney all managed multiple hits for Boyle County Varsity Rebels.  Russell went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Boyle County Varsity Rebels in hits.

 

Garrard County Varsity Golden Lions was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jaydon Noe made the most plays with  three.
