Boyle County Varsity Rebels lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to West Jessamine on Monday.  

The pitching was strong on both sides. West Jessamine pitchers struck out 12, while Boyle County Varsity Rebels sat down ten.

Boyle County Varsity Rebels got things moving in the first inning.  Cole Sims drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, West Jessamine Colt Varsity Varsity tied things up at two.  West Jessamine  scored two runs when Hayden Smith homered.

Smith took the win for West Jessamine. The ace surrendered two runs on two hits over five innings, striking out eight.  Landon Davis threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Lawson Hon took the loss for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. The righthander surrendered one run on one hit over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Eli Glasscock started the game for Boyle County Varsity Rebels. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over four and a third innings, striking out six

Boyle County Varsity Rebels socked one home run on the day. Luke Gaffney went for the long ball in the third inning.

Blake Russell and Gaffney each collected one hit to lead Boyle County Varsity Rebels.

Riley Uhls went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead West Jessamine Colt Varsity Varsity in hits.  West Jessamine didn't commit a single error in the field. Cooper Morton had the most chances in the field with 11.
